Our buying trip to Market in Atlanta-July 2017

My mom and I just got back from another fun trip to Americasmart in Atlanta. We were ordering decor and gifts for the store for next Spring. Market is basically a series of buildings filled with showrooms where store owners order their merchandise. They have shows twice a year and people come from all over the country to see the new designs. I always take pictures so you can feel like you're a part of the excitement!

Here's an example of a showroom entrance. Would you go in?

We ordered some great stuff for next Spring like these fern canvas prints.

A few items were available to ship now and some of them beat us home like these concrete frames! We also got them in a light blue/gray color.

For some reason we saw a lot of great curtain panels this time that were good prices so very soon we will have them in the store and some online. I was so excited about these because we keep finding ones we like and then look at the price and can't believe how much they are! How can a strip of fabric with 2 seams be like $100?!

We got striped ones, the oatmeal colored ones with the ruffle, the dragon fly and the polka dots! Update-Most of these are in the store already!

We ordered this pretty lamp and some other matching vases for Spring too. I love the color.

There were a lot of cool garden inspired displays. My mom and I always come home feeling inspired and wanting to redo all of our displays!

I thought the hanging beehives were cool. They have such great texture. Not sure I would have thought to use them in a display.

We saw a lot of blush tones especially in the higher end showrooms which usually means the trend will slowly make its way to alll of the showrooms. So get ready for pink!

Pink velvet sofa in showroom

We thought the sofa might be too much pink for most people so we just ordered a few pretty touches like the glass votive holder/vases. I asked customers on Facebook if they'd use blush in their homes and most people said only in little touches. So we got little touches! We will mix it with gold in our more French area of the store.

Speaking of blush, we ordered these amazing chunky blush scarves to have for Christmas gifts. I had to try it on!

We always try to find fun little gift items to offer for Christmas and these little tiny candles looked like such an adorable stocking stuffer. They smell great and the colors are so fun.

Cute mugs that would make a great gift! I thought that sign was hilarious too.

We love finding things that are made by an artist/small business so we were excited to get these wood framed signs. The girl that makes them was adorable and she said the custom name one can be ordered and ships quickly. We'll have a sample in the store to order from!

Another woman owned business we saw was Joya. Owned by Betsy Blancett, a St. Louisan and friend of ours, this jewelry brand always offers the most beautiful designs while also donating to women's charities. Betsy will be at the store on August 12th with her whole new Fall Collection too!

We often get room service and look over our orders at night in our pajamas but we decided to go out the second night. Here's my mom at a local pizza place we tried. It was so good!

One of the most exciting things that happened at Market this time was seeing Sarah Jessica Parker. How can you not love her and her sense of style?

Sarah Jessica Parker speaking at Americasmart

Seeing her was ALMOST as cool as meeting Jeff Lewis at one Market..I don't think anything will top that for me because I LOVE his show, Flipping Out.

Most of our Christmas orders were placed in January but we added a few finishing touches like the gray plaid and the black and white buffalo check runners and placemats. Plaid was big last season and it looks like it's going to be even more popular this year. YAY! I love it! We already have the galvanized chargers in the photo too. You can buy them on our website.

We ordered the deer candle rings too. I can't wait until it all comes in so we can put it together in the store!

This trip to Market was basically a little bit of everything. We ordered Spring decor, gifts for Christmas, Holiday decor and some jewelry. Believe it or not, we've already gotten most of our holiday decor that you may have seen in my last blog about Market! I can't believe we're already starting to get ready for the Holidays! We're working hard to get more items on our website for sale so you should be seeing a lot of it available on here soon!
