Every year as the holidays approach, I start to panic about what to give everyone. It is so hard to pick out gifts for other people! Many of us have resorted to just asking what our friends and relatives want which I think, in a way, takes some of the fun and magic out of Christmas presents. I’m not judging you though. I just think a few things under the tree should be a surprise! If you need a few ideas, I took photos of some of the things at The White Rabbit that I think would be great for a mother, daughter, girlfriend, neighbor, or grandma.
If you see something you like, feel free to stop in and grab it or give us a call and we can ship it or set it aside for you. 314-963-9784
These gold initial necklaces have the letter in script on one side and block letter on the other side. They are simple so they can be worn with anything and it seems like people of all ages like them.
I recommended the constellation necklaces last year and I’m showing them again this year because people are still loving them! The front has little stars in the design of your horoscope’s constellation. All you need to know is the birthday for the person you’re giving one to and you’ve got a cute, personal gift!
A strand of blessing beads would be a good gift for someone who is religious and also trendy. I’ve seen these popping up recently in some of the trendy West Coast houses and I even saw it on an episode of Real Housewives. They can be draped over a big full length mirror, draped across a coffee table, hung from a hook, etc. They’re handmade and I haven’t seen any that are as nice looking as these!
If you need a gift for a neighbor or an acquaintance that you don’t know all that well, I’d recommend something like these nice shea butter soaps. They have such beautiful packaging that you almost don’t even have to wrap them. We have a full sized bar and little minis to choose from. I think it would be really cute to give one of these and a $10 gift certificate to a neighbor or one of your kid’s teachers. It’s just a little something to say that you appreciate them!
One of our best holiday items this year is the handmade flour sack kitchen towels by Knollwood Lane. They are made in Kirkwood by friends of ours and they are just too cute. We keep selling out of them so we have been keeping them very busy! Wouldn’t it be nice to get one of these and one of the soaps as a gift? I’d be happy!
Another gift item made by these local geniuses are coasters with vintage images printed on wood slices. It seems like younger people are loving natural wood items like these. It would also be a cool gift for someone who has a cabin!
I’m really in love with these old looking Belsnickel santas. They are new but they are SO well made and really give you that charming vintage look. I think it’s the little details like tinsel, mica, and the bottlebrush tree. If you need a gift for someone who decorates for Christmas, they can surely find a spot for him!
We are carrying a new line of floral perfumes, bath oil, soaps, lotions, etc that have the prettiest packaging I’ve ever seen. These would be awesome for someone who loves flowers and floral scents. You could buy several items and make a pretty gift basket or just buy one item to add to a gift.
Everyone loves a good candle, right? We have a ton of good ones in stock right now including these gold and silver sort of etched designs. They’re so pretty even once the candle is gone! The one below comes in a grapefruit pine scent that has a lot of citrus scent and a touch of the pine smell.
We just got these candles in the victorian style brass-framed jars with lids. They come in a scent called Moonlight( Gardenia, peach, coconut, sugarcane, vanilla and rose) and Red Currant(apples, oranges, currants, herbaceous florals, forest pine and geranium petals) and they’re $26 each.
If you want to give a gift to someone who just loves Christmas, a Mistletoe candle is perfect. It’s basically the smell of a tree in a jar but not obnoxious and headache inducing like some pine candles. It’s soft and wonderful like your memories of decorating the tree as a child. We have HUGE ones that are $64 ea (which we sell to the fanatics who are addicted to this scent) and we also have this great, gifty size for $27.
We have been selling a lot of these monogram tassel keychains lately! Tassels are really in style right now. Grab one for a fun stocking stuffer!
The store is full of so many more things that would make a great gift including one-of-a-kind pieces. The best way to find a gift is to stop in but if you are pressed for time, we are happy to help! Just call 314-963-9784 or shoot us a message through email or facebook. We can wrap something up for you and have it ready to go when you get here or I can ship any of these smaller items. I hope I gave you a few ideas and happy gifting! -Lindsay
