Customers ask almost every day about our paint colors. I thought it would be fun to show some pictures of our favorites. These are colors that seem to go with everything so go ahead and try them! You can’t go wrong!
Below is my favorite navy color. It’s actually a little deeper in person. It’s called Starless Night and it’s made by Behr. We almost always use satin on our furniture because it’s more durable than flat paint but not too shiny.
There is zero question that our most used and most requested color is Cottage White by Behr. The reason we love it is because it’s in between a bright white and a yellowy cream. It can be so hard to find a perfectly balanced off white that doesn’t look yellow! This color has been tried and true for us for many, many years. Every room in my mom’s house has Cottage White in it somewhere!
The buffet below is one of my favorites of all time. The hardware is awesome and it is my favorite style because it has lots of detail and chunky legs. We used a color called Intellectual by Behr. It’s a dramatic charcoal gray and every time we paint something this color, a ton of people ask what it is. It looks especially good when you leave the original hardware with it.
Holy GORGEOUS! This bathroom has Intellectual on the walls. I am just so in love with the way it makes the white trim pop. It is a fairly dark color so you might want to start with an accent wall if you don’t have a ton of natural light. I think this would be amazing to use to create some drama in your dining room!
Slate Green by Glidden is a gray/green color that sometimes looks a tad blue. As you can probably tell, we are loving anything with gray tones.
I just love it when we can leave some natural wood on a piece like this. It looks like it belongs in a farmhouse.
It’s kind of hard to see the color on that bench so I found a picture where someone painted it on their walls. Her trim and frames are looking a tad yellow to me. Shoulda’ used Cottage White, lol. Still cute though. That vanity is great!
Excuse the blurry picture below but this is our favorite gray/blue color. It’s Quiet Rain by Glidden. It’s a very soft and soothing color that can look french on the right piece of furniture.
Here is the color chip from their website. I don’t know how accurately it will show up on your screen because it looks kind of weird on mine, but I’ve figured out that my color is way off(maybe because this laptop is 7 years old!).
I should also mention a color called Perfect Taupe by Behr. It’s one of those colors that changes a lot in different lights and seems to be a universal neutral. I have yet to try it with something it didn’t look good with. I don’t have a picture of a piece we’ve painted with it but I found someone on Pinterest who painted her walls. It’s so pretty!
One last good one I wanted to mention is Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore. My mom, Angie, just painted her living room and kitchen this color. We can’t ever decide if it’s taupe or gray or beige or green.
Have you used any of these colors? Or do you have a tried and true color that you love? Let me know! -Lindsay
