A customer was so sweet to send us this picture of what she did with antler mounts she bought at The White Rabbit. It inspired me to write a post all about antlers!
Are you one of those people who has been seeing antlers and deer mounts everywhere and is still unsure about how to use them in your house? My mom and I are in love with the look so I thought I’d compile a few ideas for you so that you can fall in love too! You’ll see that antlers don’t have to be in a lodge or a super rustic home. They can look very chic if you mix them with other unique finds.
One of my absolute favorite ways to use them is in a gallery wall. They add dimension that you can’t get with a simple mirror or print because they stick out. I found this picture on Pinterest. What a great mix of old and new!
Here are several different sizes mixed with some old leather suitcases. This picture makes me think of someone who is well traveled. It’s maybe a little too “styled” for most people’s homes but I wanted to show how good antlers look with leather and also how it can be cool to do a whole collection of them in different sizes.
This is one thing we did in the store. We took our 3 sizes of antlers (They are resin so no sweet deer were harmed!) and put them inside of an old open frame. You could place them anywhere in your house like this just the same as you would hang any print. The frame around them gives it a more finished look.
The picture below just has 1 on each side of a beautiful gold mirror. This would be so easy to do in your house if you needed just a little something to fill in a space on either side of something. This is such a glamorous, French room and the antlers don’t look too rustic at all. They really do seem to mix well with different styles.
P.S. Don’t you just love how they put that trim up really high and painted the gray on top? I love it! I need to do this someday!
Here is another gallery wall where she mixed a lot of different pieces with antlers. People often ask how they can mix a lot of different things together to make a gallery. This picture demonstrates one of the tricks! She stuck with a color scheme. See how everything is black, white, gold, and wood? This allowed her to use all different shapes and sizes without it looking chaotic.
The rest of her blog is great too so make sure you check it out.
Well, have I convinced you? Do you need antlers? We can ship them to you! Buy them from us here.
Also, I’d love to see pictures if you’ve used them in your home! See you soon! -Lindsay
